This is a personal project for creating a parts configurator for BRZ and FR-S fans similar to pcpartpicker.com. It allows you to quickly browse categories, estimate prices, and experiment with different part combinations. It works on desktop and mobile (at least iPad).
Filtering/sorting is somewhat implemented, but I'm sure there are lots of bugs. Data is stored in the URL, so just bookmark or copy it to save or share your setup. Try out a few templates below. Enjoy :)
Modding cars is all about balance: the quality, performance, price and look of each component related to each other. Also, upgrades in one area sometimes require upgrades in others. A higher HP car is going to need better brakes to stop it. And for quality in general, you get what you pay for.

Wheels are what help plant your car to the ground—the lighter the better. Flow-formed low-pressure/tilt cast wheels offer good quality and weight at a reasonable price. Forged wheels are even lighter, but can be expensive. 18x8 or 8.5s are a good balance of looks and weight.

Tires are the conduit in which you communicate with the road—telling the car where to go, but also feeling the road and listening to the tires. Firm, grippier tires with a smaller sidewall will laugh at the stock ones, but that also means you'll generally have a little stiffer, harsher ride.

Suspension helps your car hug the road—in tight turns and on uneven pavement. It also defines your car's stance, or ride height. Higher quality components give better performance and more adjustability.

Brakes slow down or stop the car. But they're also used to shift weight around to balance the car. Stock brakes are fine for doing errands, but can loose grip, or fade, with spirited driving and time at the track. Upgrades range from simple brake pad and brake line swaps to monster big brake kits.
